Margaret married Phillip Rader Jr., son of Philip Rader Sr. and Elizabeth Siddon, on 18 Dec 1846. (Phillip Rader Jr. was born on 7 Jul 1824 in Montgomery County, Ohio, died on 28 Aug 1899 and was buried in 1899 in Akron, Henry Twp, Fulton Co., IN.)

The following is from a history gathered by Elizabeth Morrett Riley...
When first married, Philip and Margaret purchased a forty acre farm, one mile east of Akron, Indiana. The first three of their eight children were born here. Philip sold the farm in 1851 with the intention of moving to Ohio, but circumstances prevented him from doing so. He then purchased his father's farm 1.5 miles east of Akron, Indiana. The next four children were born on this farm. Thethree eldest sons, Charles, Jacob and Caleb died there. In 1863, Philip exchanged his farm for a larger farm two miles east of Akron. Their last child was born here.
Margaret had said that she would never put a frog in her skillet. So one time Philip caught frogs and cleaned the hams so they looked like fish. The children saw him laughing behind his paper but thopught nothing of it. After all had eaten heartily, Philip told them they were frogs, but Margaret never believe it.
The Rader farm, while Philip and Margaret lived there, was known as the Travelers Inn. Many travelers were welcomed. After they moved to Akron they traveled quite a lot for those days. Ind 1876 they visited the centenial Exposition in Philadelphia and other places of interest in the east. About 1876 they spent 1/2 year in the west, to the Pacific Coast and visiting many states and territories. On December 18, 1896 they celebrated their 50 Wedding Anniversary. Their 5 children and 12 grandchildren were present, to witness a short Ceremony at 12:00 performed by Rev WW Brown. The daughters gave their mother a beautiful set of dishes and the sons gave their father a Gold Headed Cane. They received several gifts from friends. Mr. Rader's 2 sisters Mary Pierson of Peru and Mrs. Bethany Stephens of Rochester were present.
