Faye Morrett Gast and Harvey Sterling lived in Peru, Indiana until Faye's father (William Morrett) died. They then moved to the Rader homestead outside of Akron, Indiana.

When Faye died in 1945, Harvey inherited the farm and it passed out of the family.
